Ancient Greece (contd.)
Welcome back to the Summer Term.
This half term is when we take those important tests that you have worked so hard towards. We will continue with our extra Maths and English lessons also the revision session every week. The next few weeks leading up to 14th May will be your opportunity to revise all that you have learned during your time at St. Michael’s and ask any questions that you may have. When test week arrives, it is your time to shine and show off what you can do. Good luck - we know you will all do your very best.
In addition to the tests, we will continue our learning about Ancient Greece. In art, our ‘Greek pottery’ will be completed and then we will be looking at making an electronic buggy in D.T. so lots to look forward to there. We will also be starting our new topic on ‘Evolution and Inheritance’ in Science. Your P.E. lessons will all be outdoor, but please make sure you have your full P.E. kit (indoor and outdoor) at all times.
On 21st May there will be a parents meeting for those children who have booked to go to London but more details will be sent out nearer the time.
Mrs Beddard (Team Leader and Class teacher 6B),

A few reminders to help make the remainder of the year more successful:
PE Kit - Indoor and outdoor kit must be in school every Monday and go home every Friday to be washed. (Don't forget your spare socks)
Water bottles must be transparent and in school daily.
Please have the correct change to pay for your toast and bagels.
English and maths homework will be given on a Friday and must be handed in the following Tuesday/Wednesday. Spellings will be given on a Wednesday and must be handed in the following Monday. Occasionally this may change but we will make sure that you record this in your link books.
We ask that parents check and sign the home/school link books weekly as we will inform you of assessments results and any other important information regularly. Please do ask any member of the team if you have any concerns or queries and we will be happy to help.
