Welcome back to your final half term at St. Michael’s. Where on earth has this year gone? We still have many more exciting opportunities planned before your final day.
First on the list is the year 5 Borrowdale week where Year 6 will all be having first aid training with St John’s Ambulance. We will be become a Dementia friend through the project being run in conjunction with Pelsall Residential Care Home, and of course not forgetting our ‘St. Michael’s Apprentice’.
Following that we have our London week where we will all be taking part in activities linked to London and for many of us we have the overnight stay in London on the HMS Belfast.
The final few weeks will include sports day, cycle training (for some year 6 children), our very special Confirmation Service, transition days to your new schools, Summer disco and treat day to name just a few. The dates for all of the above can be found on the dates page and school calendar.
In addition to all of the above, we will also continue with our normal lessons as we still have lots to learn.
Most importantly 6M enjoy your final few weeks at St. Michael’s.
Mrs Beddard (Team Leader and Class teacher 6B),
Mr Martin (Assistant Head and Class Teacher 6M),
Mrs McDermott (Higher Level Teaching Assistant for all Y6 and Teacher for 6M)
Mr Martin-Summers (Teaching Assistant for Y6)
A few reminders to help make the remainder of the year more successful:
PE Kit - Indoor and outdoor kit must be in school every Monday and go home every Friday to be washed. (Don't forget your spare socks)
Water bottles must be transparent and in school daily.
Please have the correct change to pay for your toast and bagels.
English and maths homework will be given on a Friday and must be handed in the following Tuesday/Wednesday. Spellings will be given on a Wednesday and must be handed in the following Monday. Occasionally this may change but we will make sure that you record this in your link books.
We ask that parents check and sign the home/school link books weekly as we will inform you of assessments results and any other important information regularly. Please do ask any member of the team if you have any concerns or queries and we will be happy to help.
