We hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas break. It's good to see that the children have returned to school refreshed and ready for lots of new learning! Our topic this term is called 'Up, Up and Away!' and we will be learning about space and all sorts of things that fly.
Dates for your diary:
Wednesday 17th January - Foundation Stage topic launch day for 'Up, Up and Away!'. If possible, Reception children should wear space-themed clothes. Please do not buy anything especially for the day. If you do not have anything suitable, children can wear their own clothes in sky colours.
Wednesday 14th February - Valentine's Activity day - children can wear something red.
Friday 16th February - Chinese New Year Activity day- children can wear something red.
Friday 16th February - School finishes for half-term
Monday 26th February - Return to school
Can we please ask that the children bring a bag to school which is large enough to contain their homework book. If you do not have anything suitable, there is a range of bags available to purchase from the school office.
Please ensure that all items of clothing brought into Reception are labelled with your child's name. As you can imagine, we have lots of children who all wear the same sized clothing and shop at the same stores so it can be very difficult to return lost property to its rightful owner without this is done.
PE lessons for Reception will be every Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure all PE kits are named to avoid any lost items.
