Welcome to Year 1/2
Welcome back after half term! We hope you had a lovely break. The children are settling in well and are becoming more accustomed to the routines of Key Stage 1. This half term will be very busy, especially with the Christmas festivities not too long away. Please keep checking the calendar and school website for forthcoming events.
Parents evening is on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November. Please ensure you have booked an appointment to see your child's Maths and English teachers.
Please can all PE kits be returned to school and outdoor trainers as soon as possible.
PE kits consist of a white t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps, a tracksuit and trainers. Our PE days are Mondays and Tuesdays and earrings must be removed on these days. Unfortunately, staff are not allowed to remove children's earrings. PE kits will be kept in school until the Christmas holiday and then sent home to be washed.
Children should be aiming to read at least once during the week and this needs to be recorded in their link books. Reading books can be changed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Link books should be sent into school everyday and on Fridays, the link books are checked to see if children have been reading and extra house merit points are awarded.
A curriculum overview highlighting what the children will be learning this half term will be sent home shortly.
If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher or Mrs Birch or Mrs Corner.
We look forward to working together with you.
Thank you for your continued support.
