Yellow Class

Welcome to Yellow Class!

Welcome to Year 1 and  2! We hope you have had a fantastic summer break and we hope you are looking forward to starting Key Stage 1.  For the new year 1 children there will be a few changes compared to Reception, however they will soon settle into the routine with the help of the year 2 children.  There will be a few letters being sent home over the next few weeks which will provide all the information you need to know about the requirements for the new school year.

The children will return to school on Wednesday 5th September where they will spend the majority of the time in their class groups learning about class rules and routines.  On Monday 10th September we will be starting our proper timetable and children will need their PE kits in school.

PE kits consist of a white t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps, a tracksuit and trainers.  Our PE days are Mondays and Tuesdays and earrings must be removed on these days.  Unfortunately, staff are not allowed to remove children's earrings.  PE kits will be kept in school until October half term and then sent home to be washed.

Link books and home reading books will be sent home shortly with a letter which will explain how these work, together with our homework expectations.
