Happy Monday Nursery!

Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend!

Only Joking!

Why did the toilet paper roll down the hill?

Because he wanted to get to the bottom!  😊

Thank you to Felix in Reception for the joke! It made me giggle!

30 Days Wild!

We are in the last two days of our 30 Days Wild adventure! I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have!

Today’s ‘Random Act of Wildness’ is: Pick up litter. Sweep the area for litter and pop it in the bin.

Please remember to wear gloves if you are going litter picking and always check with your adult that it is safe to pick something up. Take lots of care!

Book of the Week

Our book of the week is another Julia Donaldson story!

The story this week is ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’. It is about a little old lady, whose house is just too small - but when she asks a wise old man for help, he suggests a rather strange solution to her problems!

If you have the book at home, read it with your helper. You can also listen to it here:

Phonics

Today, Ruth will be teaching ‘v’.

Please use your sound cards with your helper if you prefer. Remember to do some Fred Talk! You can join in with Ruth, live at 9.30am, or you can catch up at anytime through the day. Here’s the link

Education City

Today, there is one Literacy activity called ‘Garden Snail’ and one Maths activity called ‘Ten Pin’ for you to have a go at. You can do it!

Additional activities:

* Can you make the Little old lady’s house from the story? You could use Lego or building blocks or you could use an old shoe box.

* Find out the animals from your toybox. If you don’t have all of the animals from the story, you could draw them or make them out of playdough.

* Can you add the animals to your house in the same order as the story. What happens when you add more animals? Does the Little Old Lady have more room or less room? What about at the end when the wise old man says ”Take them all out!”. How does the Little Old Lady feel then?
