Hi Year Five,
How are you all? Hopefully you’re feeling relaxed and refreshed after so long away from school – such strange times! I trust you’ve been getting out and enjoying the nice weather. I’m looking forward to working with you all in Year Six come September.
As it’s been a number of years since I last worked with many of you in Year 1/2, let me tell you a little about my role as a teaching assistant! I will be working with many of you alongside your class teachers in your English and Maths lessons, with small groups, individually and I may teach you during some afternoons from time to time. I will assist you, along with the learning you will experience in your lessons with Mrs Beddard, Mr Martin and Mrs McDermott. I always expect children I work with, whether in the classroom or in small groups, to always work hard and give the best of their ability – in return I will give you the best support that I can. After all, no one can give any more than 100%. Knowing many of you from working with you previously, undoubtedly you will all work very hard next year. There will be times during the year that you will find tough, but if we all work together you can achieve great things.
I would see myself as relaxed, easy going and approachable. I am always up for a laugh (at the best of times!). After all, school is about enjoying yourself as well as learning. Anyone who knows me knows my love for music and sport (in particular, the best team in the world – Wolves), so I’m always up for a football chat! Further, I love to listen to your stories/achievements and what you do outside of school.
Enjoy the summer holidays., look after yourselves and see you shortly,
