Hi Year Five,
Well, it’s been such a long time since I’ve seen you, I think I’ve forgotten what some of you look like!
The last academic year has been a strange one for you (and me) and I am hoping for a little more normality next year although I don’t expect that to happen straight away. I do know however that as the oldest children in the school you will cope with the year that lies ahead and support the younger children wherever possible.
So, for those of you who don’t know me that well, I’ve worked at St. Michael’s for about fifteen years and in year six for nine years. I have two children who came to this school but are both working now (you’ll hear more about them next year). When we’re working hard, I like to have a calm classroom however it is important to have fun (at the right time). I do like listening to music during some lessons as I find this relaxing. All I ask of you next year is that you are polite to one another and work hard as that way, I know we will have a fantastic year.
There are many exciting events for you to look forward to including transitions to secondary schools, residentials, exciting topics to learn about plus all the responsibilities that comes with being a year 6.
I am sure, like me, you are looking forward to September but in the meantime, have a fantastic summer and a good rest before the hard work starts.
