Hello, I am Mrs Morris, I am Early Years Foundation Lead as well as a classroom teacher in Reception (RM). This year is different, normally I would have met you but as this is not possible, I am going to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl and feel extremely fortunate to have achieved my goal. I especially enjoy teaching in Reception at St Michael’s, getting to know you all and making your journey into school life happy and safe. I am passionate about Forest School, you’ll be learning new skills and becoming independent, in an exciting, challenging and fun way.
My family are especially important to me, I have two children – Abigail who’s 12 years old and going into Year 8 and Esther who’s 6 years old and going into Year 2. We have a mad cat called Burt Bandit, who we adopted from the RSPCA, he is very big and quite clumsy. He also meows very loudly when he wants something, which can be annoying at 5am when he wants to come in!
We are members of the National Trust and spend happy family times exploring historic houses and walking through their beautiful grounds. We love travelling and discovering new places; going to London on the train is exciting with all the different things you can enjoy together. I also love the cinema, watching a variety of films.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all in September. Have a fantastic summer break, see you all soon.
