Hello Nursery!

Good morning Nursery! I hope you are all ok and that you enjoyed your home learning yesterday.

We would be singing a special song to Grace this afternoon at nursery if we were in school today! We hope that you have a lovely Birthday at home with your family and we will celebrate with you next week!  Happy Birthday!

Joke of the day!

Why did the snake cross the road?

To get to the other ssssssside!    😊

Bonfire night

As part of our Bonfire Night learning, today I would like you to have a go at a firework painting or picture. You can do it however you like and use what craft resources you already have at home. My favourite way to make a firework picture is to use a toilet roll middle with snips along the end and dip it into paint, just like in this picture!

You could add glitter or sequins if you have any and really make your picture sparkle!

You could use your iPad or tablet to create a digital picture, just like the one below.

If you are feeling really creative, you could use some junk modelling to make a firework model. You could use ribbons, pipe cleaners, tinsel and all sorts of sparkly things! I like these ones…

Move your body!

Here’s one of our favourite dance videos from Go Noodle and Trolls. Can you join in?

Trolls: Can't Stop The Feeling | GoNoodle

Get that sunshine in your pocket and that good soul in your feet as you dance, dance, dance along with the Trolls to this awesome JT song! Create a free acco...

I hope you got to watch the video yesterday. We can’t wait to start learning lots of sounds and begin to write some of them.

To help to get your hands nice and strong, ready for writing and mark making, why not have a go at Dough Disco? If you can remember the moves, put on some funky music and go crazy at the dough disco!

If you need some reminders of the moves, you can watch Shonette here and boogie along! Have fun!

If you don’t have any playdough at home, you could have a go at making your own!

Here is an easy recipe!

We Love Books!

I miss reading you lots of stories! Here is a read along book from the book trust. Hairy Maclary is one of my favourite stories and always a favourite bedtime story for my own children! I hope you like it too!

Here is a maths counting game called ‘Count with Allie’. Allie will help you count the items on the page. Can you count along too?

Here is the link:

Additional activities:

* Can you help your parent or carer to make lunch? You can decide what you are going to make and help to collect the ingredients together. Can you help to tidy away afterwards too? Maybe even help with the washing up! Do you know how to make soap bubbles with your hands?

* If you can get outside today, can you find some different shaped leaves? How many can you find? What different colours can you see?

* Can you make a tower that is taller than you out of Lego or building blocks?

Have a great day everyone!

I’d love to see your fantastic firework pictures! Please send me photos of your wonderful creations and home learning if you can!
