This half term our topic in Science is all about Growth and Survival. We start off with a power point that looks at different animals and their offspring. As well as identifying which offspring belongs to which adult, it asks you to think about why it is important for animals to have babies and what would happen if they didn’t. Once you have worked through the power point with your grown up, see if you can do some research on animals and their offspring.
Find out what different animals babies look like. What do they need to survive?
How long before they become adult animals themselves? Where do the animals live with their babies?
See if you can find out any fascinating facts that you can share with the rest of the class when you come back to school next week.
