Tuesday 3rd November

33 more school wake-ups to go until Christmas!

Happy final day of isolation Year Six,

I am really looking forward to seeing you all back in school tomorrow! Thank you for completing yesterday’s work and letting me know how you got on. You will find Mrs Abley’s ‘Brave the Shave’ video link sent to all parents via the school's new app. Have fun watching and remember that if you wish to make a donation to the charity, cheques or money can be sent into school all week.

English this week continues to focus on Remembrance Day and also link to the WW2 History topic.

  1. 10 mins reading aloud to an adult. You should all have a school reading book at home.
  2. Today I’d like you to focus on persuasive language features and there are two useful resources to look at before attempting the mini-tasks within the activity. Some of the tasks you can discuss with an adult at home (or join together with classmates virtually and have group discussion), and others require you to do some writing. I will ask parents to acknowledge that you have been completing all English tasks!
  3. Make sure you put your spelling practices out ready to bring into school tomorrow.

Mr Martin will be providing your Maths work and Mrs McDermott will upload a Computing and French lesson in the ‘Other Subjects’ area.

See you tomorrow.

Mrs Beddard
