2 more school wake-ups to go!

Hello Year Six,

Well – we almost made it to the end of term! You have been working so hard since joining Year 6 in September and I have been very impressed, and proud, with how well you have coped with the new routines. I am certain that you will manage the work being set online with ease. However, I am always only ever an email away from answering any queries so please contact me if needed:

In fact, I expect to hear from all of you today when you send me the results of today’s spelling tests.

  1. 10 mins reading aloud to an adult. You should all have a school reading book at home.
  2. Spellings test (the sheets are below). You can print the sheet off or read from them online. Ask an adult to test you and then mark accurately. Remember that I want to know your results!
  3. Complete the first column of your new spelling sheets. Remember to complete every practice over the next few days and the completed sheets must be returned to school on Monday 2nd November. If you cannot print the sheets, write the words out on paper ensuring that you copy accurately and neatly.
  4. Try making your own wordsearch using the new spelling words. There is another wordsearch for you to try and it will help you to understand how to make your own. If you are successful at creating your own wordsearch, try it out on an adult at home or a sibling!

Mr Martin will be providing your Maths work and Mrs McDermott will upload today’s Science lesson in the ‘Other Subjects’ area.

That’s it for today.

Until tomorrow,

Mrs Beddard
