The Governing body is a voluntary body of people who are responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers a good quality education. Together with the Head Teacher, who is responsible for day-to-day management, the Governors set the school’s aims and policies.
The constitution of the governing body states it shall consist of:
All meetings are held termly as a full governing body with no sub-committee elected.
To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and aim.
To ensure accountability for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the appraisal of staff.
To oversee the financial management of the school and ensure value for money.
To ensure the Christian values are present in all aspects of school life.
To support and challenge and undertake the role of ‘critical friend’.
