At St Michael’s, we value all God’s children, helping them to develop into people who understand and follow Christian values, and strive to use their God-given talents to become the best they can be.
‘With the help of God, working together for success.’ ‘I will strengthen you and help you;’ Isaiah 41:10
Honesty
(Ephesians 4:25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body.)
Forgiveness
(Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.)
Respect
(Mark 12:31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’[a] There is no commandment greater than these.”)
The school’s vision and values are currently under review.
Questionnaires have been circulated to families, staff and governors to seek their views. Pupil voice has also been sought through class based discussions.
A working group has met twice and has looked at the themes emerging from the surveys and pupil voice. This group has also spent time praying and listening to God.
Key themes emerging, centre around fuitfulness and being rooted in Jesus.
A key driver is the Church of England vision for education with all stakeholders committed to ‘living life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). We seek to enable both children and adults to flourish.
