At St Michael's we are committed to providing our children with the learning opportunities they need to achieve high academic standards in all subjects. Whilst acknowledging the importance of the core subjects of English and Maths, it is also our firm belief that it is every child's right to receive excellent provision in other curriculum areas too, many of which we deliver through enrichment activities. Music is a particular strength of the school, and all of our Junior children have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. Our children also benefit from specialist sports provision both during curriculum time and in after school clubs.
Our dedicated and highly skilled staff are passionate about the school and making a difference for our children and families. This, coupled with a supportive parent body, governing body and community, means that lesson by lesson and day by day our children grow, academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
As a church school we have strong links with our local church, St Michael's and all Angels and Christian values such as love, forgiveness, respect and tolerance are central to everything we do.
Here at St Michael's we have delightful children who are expected to work hard, dress smartly, behave well and try their hardest to be in school every day. We encourage children to be independent and resilient and make the most of their time in school. In return we pledge to do our best to meet the needs of all children, whatever these may be.
