Year 6

Back Together Soon

Hi Year 6,

We have started the count down until we will be back together again. Monday 8th March will soon be heresmiley.

We have missed all of the children who have been home learning (even though we see you every day) and have been so impressed with your attitude.  We know it hasn't been easy and we are aware of all of your efforts.

Well done to the children who have been in school.  You have coped very well with the changes and we are very proud of you all.

As you are aware, SAT's have been cancelled this year however we will continue to do tests to assess your progress.

We have lots of exciting things happening in school over the next few weeks: World Book Day, Science week and a charity day to name but a few. We will keep you posted on dates and events. In addition to this you will be receiving the exiting news about your new secondary schools.

The Curriculum Overview is available to read to inform you of our learning for the next term.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to any of us.

Mrs Beddard, Mr Martin, Mrs McDermott, Mr Martin-Summers and

Mrs Abley

A few reminders to help make the remainder of the year more successful:

  • PE Kit - Indoor and outdoor kit must be in school every Monday and go home every Friday to be washed. (Don't forget your spare socks)

  • Water bottles must be transparent and in school daily.

  • Please have the correct change to pay for your toast and bagels.

  • English and maths homework will be given on a Friday and must be handed in the following Tuesday/Wednesday. Spellings will be given on a Wednesday and must be handed in the following Monday. Occasionally this may change but we will make sure that you record this in your link books.

We ask that parents check and sign the home/school link books weekly as we will inform you of assessments results and any other important information regularly. Please do ask any member of the team if you have any concerns or queries and we will be happy to help.

Here is the power point for the poetry competition. Have fun and be creative!
