Hi Year 6,
Welcome to the summer term and your final term at St. Michael’s.
This is such an important term as you will have your SATs tests (where you can show off exactly how much you have learnt during your time here). In addition to these, we have many exciting events planned: Borrowdale, London, sports day, cycle training, transition workshops at your new school and then not forgetting the Stone Ceremony and Leavers’ Service.
We will continue with our National Curriculum learning and you will find the overview for the summer term below so that you can see what you will be studying.
We hope you will make the most of all of the opportunities available and enjoy your final few weeks as a member of Year 6 2022.
As a quick reminder, you need to bring your P.E. kit into school every Monday ready for the week ahead and ensure that you always have your water bottle in school. It is important that you read regularly and ask your parents to sign your link book every week.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to any of us.
Mrs Beddard, Mr Martin, Mrs McDermott, Mr Martin-Summers,
Mrs Cattermole, Mrs Clarke and Miss Jenkins.
A few reminders to help make the remainder of the year more successful:
PE Kit - Indoor and outdoor kit must be in school every Monday and go home every Friday to be washed. (Don't forget your spare socks)
Water bottles must be transparent and in school daily.
Please have the correct change to pay for your toast and bagels.
English and maths homework will be given on a Friday and must be handed in the following Tuesday/Wednesday. Spellings will be given on a Wednesday and must be handed in the following Monday. Occasionally this may change but we will make sure that you record this in your link books.
We ask that parents check and sign the home/school link books weekly as we will inform you of assessments results and any other important information regularly. Please do ask any member of the team if you have any concerns or queries and we will be happy to help.
P.S. Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games, and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites!
